Who this covers
This policy applies to mymortgage-calculator.com, operated by Jose Castillo, a licensed mortgage loan originator (NMLS #2654997) in New Jersey, sponsored by Keypoint Mortgage (NMLS #298422). It explains what this site collects, why, and what happens to it.
Using the calculator
The calculator runs entirely in your browser. The figures you type (price, down payment, rate, taxes, insurance) are not sent anywhere unless you choose to send them with the form below. Income and debts entered in the affordability check are never sent, including when you ask for a review.
What the form collects
Only what you submit when you ask for a payment review:
- Your name, email address and phone number
- Whether you are buying or refinancing, and the property state
- The calculator figures on screen: loan program, home price, down payment, interest rate, loan term and estimated monthly payment
- Which page and language you used, and, if you arrived from an ad or link, its campaign tags (such as utm_source or an ad click ID) and the referring website
These are estimates about a property, not an application. No credit check is performed by this website, and submitting the form does not affect your credit score.
What is deliberately not collected
This site does not ask for your Social Security number, date of birth, credit score, income, employer, or any bank or account number. Please never enter them here. When a loan actually moves forward, those details are collected directly and securely, never through this site.
Cookies and browser storage
This site sets no cookies of its own and currently runs no analytics, advertising pixels or tracking scripts. It stores two small items in your own browser: your light/dark display preference, and, for the length of your visit, the campaign tags described above. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser sends Google a standard request, including your IP address, to download them (see Google's privacy policy). The “today's average rates” box on the calculator is provided by Mortgage News Daily and loads from their servers, so your browser sends them the same kind of standard request, and they may set their own cookies under their privacy policy. Nothing you type into the calculator or the form is sent to them.
How your information is used
Your submission is delivered to Jose Castillo so Jose can follow up about your home loan enquiry, answer questions, and discuss options that may fit your situation. Campaign tags are used only to understand which advertising brings people to the site.
Replies go by email. You are called or texted only if you tick the optional consent box on the form, which authorizes Jose Castillo (NMLS #2654997) of Keypoint Mortgage LLC (NMLS #298422) to call and text the number you provide, including with automated technology. Consent is not a condition of any loan or purchase. When you give it, the wording you agreed to and the time are recorded with your submission. You can withdraw it at any time by replying STOP to a text or by asking by phone or email; requests are honored within 10 business days.
Who it is shared with
Your information is never sold, rented or traded, and it is not shared with lead buyers or marketing lists.
Form submissions are delivered through Formspree, a form-processing service that transmits the message to Jose Castillo's inbox. Information may also be shared with the sponsoring mortgage company and, if you choose to apply, with lenders and service providers needed to process your application, or where required by law. If you apply for a loan you will receive the lender's own privacy notice.
Security
This site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection and form submissions are transmitted encrypted. No method of transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, so please do not send sensitive identifiers through this form.
Your choices
You may ask for a copy of what you submitted, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Call (973) 830-9502 and the request will be handled promptly. Submitting the form is voluntary and is not a loan application.
Children
This site is intended for adults seeking mortgage financing and is not directed to anyone under 18.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the updated version is posted here with a new date.
